On Sat. Sept. 23rd, the Wabash MS 7th Grade Volleyball Team Placed 3rd overall in The Dunes MS Invite at the Dunes Event Center in LaPorte, Indiana. In Pool Play, the 7th Grade Lady Apache Team tied their 1st match of the day with Upton MS, 15-21/21-15, then defeated Urey MS, 21-16/21-17 and Boone Grove 21-17/23-21 to advance to the Gold Bracket, winning over Winamac 25-12, and losing their final match of the day to John Young in a 3 Set match 22-20/9-21/13-15. The Wabash 7th Grade Volleyball Team Record is 13-6. Brooklyn Arrowood led her team with 30 Service Points, including 21 Aces, 20 Assists, 15 Service Receptions, 14 Digs and 4 Kills. Josie Bakehorn led her team in defense with 34 Digs, adding 26 Service Points, including 20 Aces, 17 Service Receptions, 8 Kills and an Assist. Sofia Pries added 15 Service Points, including 8 Aces, 25 Digs, 17 Service Receptions, 5 Kills and an Assist. Avionna Osborne had 13 Service Points, including 7 Aces, 20 Service Receptions, 16 Digs, 12 Assists and 5 Kills. McKinley Baker led her team in Service Receptions with 22, adding 18 Digs and an Ace. Harper Hanes had 13 Service Points, including 5 Aces, 5 Service Receptions, 5 Kills and 3 Digs. Kendylan Lochner contributed 9 Kills to lead the Lady Apache Offense, also adding 9 Service Points, including an Ace and a Dig. Trinity Flohr had 4 Service Points, 4 Service Receptions and a Dig. Ava Moorman added 4 Service Receptions and 2 Digs. Aubrey Hanes contributed 2 Dig, and 3 Service Points, including 2 crucial Aces to defeat John Young at the end of set 1. Taylor Zickafoose had 4 Kills. Gwen Bayles added a Dig.
