Wabash Traveled to Rochester for a Conference Matchup; Taking the journey up highway 31, Wabash traveled to play Rochester in Zebra country. In most matches one team or the other was dominant. The deciding match was at 3 singles. Rochester took the point and the win 3-2. Coming off the courts early was Eli Mattern at 1 singles with an efficient 6-0, 6-0 victory. Shortly after, Rochester evened the score at 1 doubles were the Wabash Duo of McKenzie and Wiles fell 1-6, 0-6. Two doubles was also a win for Rochester. Pegg and Tracy for Wabash fell 0-6, 0-6. Cooper Long continued his winning ways at 2 singles, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 to even the match at 2 points Wabash and 2 points Rochester. Long has been victorious in his last 8 matches. The deciding match at 3 singles was a tight one. Pence, of Wabash, dropped the first set 3-6 but rebounded in the second set leading to a 6-6 score and the need for a tie breaker. As both teams looked on, Pence fell in a nerve wracking 6-8 fashion, and Rochester picked up the 3-2 win. Competing for Wabash in JV action was Eli Dafoe and Noah Reed, both playing a twice one doubles match and a singles match for both. Wabash in now 2-9 on the seaon and 1-2 in TRC Conference play.
