Junior Ezra Church represented Wabash High School in the boys cross country state finals Saturday afternoon. With ideal conditions and the desire to succeed Ezra put himself in a good position early in the race and battled through the middle. As the finish line approached he dug deep, passing other runners like they were standing still. He finished in 148th place out of 250 runners, improving 21 seconds from his time at last years state finals. This marks the end of another cross country season in which the Apaches were Three Rivers Conference champions, and qualified a team/individual for the state finals. Our seniors - Isaiah Cordes, Caidan Burchett, Maverick Sommers, and Matthew Niles have represented the orange and black with class. No matter what the future has in store for them the Wabash cross country team will forever be grateful for their contributions to the program throughout their years on the team. They will be greatly missed but can have solace in the face that what they instilled in this team will live on. These seniors will always be Apaches at heart!
