Girls Score: Red Devils 102, Bombers 83 The West Lafayette Red Devils Girls Swimming & Diving team opened their 2023-24 competition season with a win against Rensselaer at home on Tuesday, November 21. Leading the Red Devil squad were Senior Captain Laurie Antalis (SR) and Chloe Chen (JR) with two event wins apiece. Antalis took the top spot in the 200 Freestyle and the 50 Freestyle with a lifetime best of 25.89 in the 50 while Chen led the pack in the 200 Individual Medley. In total, the Red Devils took the top spot in 8 out of 12 events of the evening including: - 200 Medley Relay: Chen, Mei Kihara (SO), Antalis, Madeline Umulis (JR) - Diving (6 Dives): Kynlee Dunbar (SO) - 100 Butterfly: Kihara - 100 Freestyle: Umulis - 500 Freestyle: Senior Captain Lina Idrissi Alami (SR) - 400 Freestyle Relay: Antalis, Chen, Natalie Cuttell (FR), Umulis The Red Devils had many strong performances throughout the evening, including a 1-2 finish in Diving from Dunbar and Ace Tyrrell (FR). Next week the Red Devils will be on the road as we face Lebanon on Tuesday, 11/28, and Frankfort on Thursday 11/30 for our first away meets of the season. Additionally, the Red Devil Divers will travel to the Western Diving Invitational on Saturday, 12/2.
