Final Score: West Lafayette 115, Western Boone 63 The West Lafayette Red Devil Boys Swimming & Diving team hosted Western Boone to close out our regular season competition calendar. The Red Devils walked away with 9 out of 12 event wins and a total of 17 new best times. Event Wins & Notable Finishes: 200 Medley Relay, 1st place: Lincoln Miller (JR), Jon Yang (FR), Jacob Clampitt-Morales (SR), Lucas Arnaldo (JR) 200 Freestyle: Ethan Zhang (SO), first to the wall with a time of 2:02.76; Miller, 3rd place with a new lifetime best by -4.26; Dani Caviglia, 6th with an impressive -21.24 time drop. 200 IM, 1-2 Finish: Chase Jordan (FR), Zheng-Chi Lee (SR) Diving, 1st: Brendan Twomey 100 Butterly, 1-2-3 Finish: Arnaldo, Yang, Ryan Miloudi (JR) 100 Freestyle, 1-2-3 Finish: Miller (new LTB), Zhang, Jordan 500 Freestyle: Jacob Cohen (SO) takes 3rd and almost gets under the 6 minute mark with an impressive drop of -40.67 over his previous time from the Lebanon dual meet. Freshman Davi Caviglia swam the 500 for the first time, while classmate Daniel Puente dropped 20.41 seconds in his second 500 Freestyle of the season. 200 Freestyle Relay, 1st place: Zhang, Jordan, Clampitt-Morales, Ben Mariner (SR Captain) 100 Backstroke, 1-2 Finish: Mariner, Yang 100 Breaststroke: Lee into the wall first, followed by Cohen. 400 Freestyle Relay, 1-2 Finish: The team of Arnaldo, Zhang, Yang and Cohen raced to the wall first, followed by Mariner, Lee, Jordan and Miller. Junior Ryan Miloudi led off the C relay, with a new lifetime best in the 100 Freestyle by a whopping -4.83 seconds. Congratulations to all of the swimmers and divers who have worked so hard this season! In just over two weeks, the Red Devils will head across town to Lafayette Jeff for the Boys Sectional Championship, which marks the beginning of the IHSAA State Tournament series.
