Four players scored in double figures, and West Lafayette girls basketball turned up the defensive intensity in a wire-to-wire 69-33 win over Kokomo at Berberian Gymnasium on Nov. 12. Adrianne Tolen led the way offensively with 17 points, while Kennedy Martin scored 15, Vivian Huston 14 and Annie Karlaftis 10. Meanwhile, the Red Devils forced 32 turnovers and recorded 25 steals. Huston had six thefts, Bree Johnson five and Tolen and Sarah Werth four apiece. Karlaftis pulled down eight rebounds, and Werth handed out five assists. The Red Devils, who limited the WildKats to 30.4% shooting from the field, led 18-6 after the first quarter and 31-14 at halftime. Kokomo won the JV game 53-29. Dylan Kastens and Kyra Swanson led West Lafayette with five points apiece, and Swanson pulled down five rebounds.
