Defense was the story in the first half with the Red Devils trailing 13-10 at halftime. West Lafayette came out on fire in the third quarter led by Mason Wright with eight points and Alvin Ajayi with six in the frame. Wea battled back late in the fourth quarter to tie it up at 34 at the end of regulation. In the overtime period, Wea hit some critical free throws and the Red Devils lost by the final score of 41-38. Ajayi had twelve total points and six rebounds. Wright contributed on both ends with ten points, six rebounds, and seven steals. Martin Vega Diaz showed hustle all night with four steals and Michael Gulich added six rebounds and two big blocks. The Red Devils' stand at 3-5 on the year. The B game saw a wire to wire victory by the Red Devils to remain undefeated on the season at 5-0. Ira Dobson Jr. was aggressive on the boards with seven rebounds. West Lafayette was led in scoring by Mert Yavuz with ten points and five rebounds. Oliver Crowell, Karam AbuSara and Ellis Furry had three steals each and Furry added six rebounds. The final score was 26-22.
