West Lafayette girls basketball raced out of the gate and cruised to a 77-58 win at 10th-ranked Heritage Christian on Dec. 3. The Red Devils, who improved to 10-1 on the season, led 15-4 after one quarter and 41-16 at halftime. Adrianne Tolen stuffed the stat sheet with 27 points (including 10 of 12 free throws), 11 rebounds, four assists and six steals. Sarah Werth scored 19 points and recorded six steals, while Kennedy Martin had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Annie Karlaftis recorded another double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds and also dished out three assists. West Lafayette shot 46% from the field, while limiting the Eagles to 38% and forcing 21 turnovers. The Red Devils came up with 15 steals. Heritage Christian won the JV game. Izzy Ascarelli led the Devils on offense and Ellie Wilcoxson on defense.
