Boys Hoosier Conference Swimming and Diving Championships

Boys Score: 361 for 2nd place The Red Devil boys followed with the same tone that the Red Devil girls set for the Hoosier Conference Swimming and Diving Championships: Prepared and ready for competing! In the first boys swimming race on Saturday, the 200 Medley Relay team of Ray Li, Lucas Arnaldo, Braylon VanMatre, and Landon VanMatre won the event and set a new conference record eclipsing the mark set by 3 of these boys (plus William LaCount, 2022 WLHS graduate) at last years championships. The other boys relays placed as follows: 200 Freestyle Relay (3rd) team of Lucas Arnaldo, Ben Mariner, Ethan Zhang, Ryan Knipp, and 400 Freestyle Relay (1st w/ NEW Conference Record) Ryan Knipp, Landon VanMatre, Braylon VanMatre, Ray Li. In the individual events, plenty of athletes earned top 5 placing: Ryan Knipp - 1st in 200 Freestyle, Lucas Arnaldo - 2nd in 200 Individual Medley, Ethan Zhang - 4th in 200 Individual Medley, Ray Li - 4th in 50 Freestyle, Brendan Twomey - 5th in 11 Dives on 1 meter springboard, Landon VanMatre - 1st in 100 Butterfly, Braylon VanMatre - 2nd in 100 Freestyle, Ryan Knipp - 1st in 500 Freestyle w/ NEW Conference Record, Landon VanMatre - 1st in 100 Backstroke, Braylon VanMatre – 2nd in 100 Backstroke, Lucas Arnaldo - 2nd in 100 Breaststroke, Ray Li – 3rd in 100 Breaststroke.
