West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

The West Lafayette Jr High wrestling team traveled on Saturday to the Frankfort Super Duals. The Red Devils defeated as a team, the Tipton Blue Devils, Southwestern Wildcats and the Battleground Tomahawks and the teams only loss was to the North Montgomery Chargers. Put into a three way tie for first place in our pool, the Red Devils won the tie breaker to compete for first place as a team against the Frankfort Hot Dogs. Led by three undefeated 8th grade wrestlers who finished 5-0, Wyatt Asay, Kojo Steffey and Hollis Morrow, the Red Devils wrestled their hardest but came up short, finishing second on the day. Wrestlers finishing the day with one loss were Jonah Motrione, Alan Salazar, Campbell Wallace and Cal Elias. Wrestlers finishing with only two losses were Layona Avila, Cos Russell, Gia Mitrione, Blaine Myles, Matthew Casillas, Connor Peters, Tanner Dillon and Delilah Michalowski.
