Seventh Grade Boys Secure Victories Against Crawfordsville in Home Opener

In the “A Team” game, the Stars established an early lead and maintained it throughout the match. Wyatt Redman’s skillful play forced Crawfordsville to sink their zone defense, which allowed Bryson Potter to score two three-pointers in the first half. Although WeBo had several opportunities, not all of their shots were successful. At halftime, the Stars held a 18-15 lead. In the second half, WeBo intensified their efforts and limited Crawfordsville to just four points. Corbin Eckert scored three three-pointers in the third quarter, further extending the Stars’ lead. The final score was 39-19 in favor of the Stars. The Stars’ scorers were Redman with 14 points, Eckert with 11 points, Potter with 8 points, Worrel with 4 points, and Stokes with 2 points. In the “B Team” game, WeBo started strong, maintaining a fast pace and effective defense. They led 26-11 at halftime. Crawfordsville attempted to make a comeback in the second half, but WeBo managed to handle the their pressure and secured a 43-39 victory. Eli Pasture led the “B Team” with 12 points, contributing rebounds and strong defense. Crosby Kinsler and Cannon Dunk each scored six points and played solid defense. Wyatt Delp added two three-pointers. Jase Young and Chase Buchanan made important free throws to secure the win. The “B Team” scorers were Pasture with 12 points, Kinsler with 6 points, Dunk with 6 points, Delp with 6 points, Hanneman with 4 points, Gick with 3 points, Young with 3 points, Dexter with 2 points, and Buchanan with 1 point. The Stars will play again Thursday night against Tri-West, with the game starting at 5:30.
