Stars take on Chargers and Bruins in Varsity Swim

The Stars were on the road Thursday evening to compete in a three way meet vs. Tri West and North Montgomery. The boys came out strong placing 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Jacob Norman, Liam Whitely, Isaac Threlkeld, and Zach Connors. Jacob Norman fought in an exciting race in the 200 Free and placed 2nd, and cruised to a 1st place win in the 500 Free. Alex Crockett placed 2nd in the 200 IM, and Levi Biggs placed 1st in the JV 50 Free race. Jude Balke took 1st in the 50 Free, and Zach Connors was right on his toes placing 2nd. Isaac Threlkeld captured 1st in the 100 Butterfly, and Liam Whitely placed 3rd. In the 100 Free Brayden Schick placed 2nd, and Wes Redman swam for a new PR placing 1st in the JV race. Jacob Norman cruised to a 1st place win in the 500 Free and Henry Biggs fought hard for 2nd place. The boys won 1st place in the 200 Free Relay (Jude Balke, Isaac Threlkeld, Zach Connors, Jacob Norman) and 2nd in the 400 Free Relay (Henry Biggs, Jude Balke, Alex Crockett, Liam Whitely). Eli Baldwin came home with a new PR in the 100 Backstroke, and in the 100 Breastroke, Alex Crockett placed 2nd and Gage Bolen won 1st in the JV race dropping 30 seconds off his previous time for a new PR. The boys won 51 to 50 over Tri West, and won 76 to 22 over North Montgomery. The girls were off to a rocky start placing 3rd in the 200 Medley Relay. In the 50 Free Lindsey Steimel placed 2nd , and Abigayle Humphrey came home with a new PR. Eisley Whitely took 1st in the 100 Butterfly, and Hannah Ranney picked up a new PR. The girls placed 2nd in the 200 Free Relay with the team of Evie Maurath, Claire Torp, Rebecca Rustin, and Eisley Whitely. Eisley Whitely placed 3rd in 100 Breastroke with a new season best time, and the girls placed 3rd in the 400 Free Relay with the team of Claire Torp, Jaili Torp, Rylee Pelley, and Joan Gearheart. The girls team came home with a win over Tri West (55 to 46), but fell to North Montgomery (27 to 75). The Stars will face McCutcheon Monday evening at home.
