Clinton Prairie’s second-half surge proved too much for the Stars as the Western Boone 8th Grade “A” team fell 59-41 on Tuesday night. The Stars came out strong and controlled the first half, building a 15-point lead at the break with solid defense and efficient offense. However, the momentum shifted in the second half as Clinton Prairie caught fire, outscoring the Stars to take the win. Jackson Potter led the Stars with 21 points, while Tate Fields added 16 in a strong offensive showing. In “B” team action, the Stars bounced back with an impressive performance, defeating Clinton Prairie after putting up 29 points in just two 10-minute halves.
