Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Hokum Karem is a paired race, each individual runs a total of 3 miles alternating with their partner. Carter Hanna and Isaac Threlkeld came in 15th place out of 49 teams in the boys individual race. Lane Hardee and Graham Cavins finished in 27th place, Brawn Puckett and Alex Crockett were 31st, and Brayden Schick and Kole Nelson were 42nd. Bailey Haag and Samantha Jones took 3rd place out of 38 teams for the girls individual race. Charlotte Stucky and Benny Parsons came in 15th place, Kate Higer and Janelle Gearheart were 21st, and Rosie Rogers and Katherine Mateika were 30th. Highlights of the day included a 4th place ribbon for Carli Hanna in the 2 mile reserve race, 3rd place ribbon for Bailey Haag and Samantha Jones in girls individual, and a 3rd place ribbon overall for the girls team out of 15 teams. The Stars had an amazing day of competition and they continue to improve every meet. They will run again Tuesday evening at Southmont for Leap into September.
