Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The lady Stars soccer team lost 5-0 to Frankfort at the home game last night. There were amazing performances from Eisley Whiteley and Bailey Ford. While we lost, we had several good attempts at the goal by a midfielder Caydence Paris. The girls continue to improve and get better each game. The Western Boone Jr high school boys soccer team was defeated last evening by Frankfort with a score of 1-8. The stars did a tremendous job with their defense, forcing Frankfort to shoot from outside the box in the first half. Starting defensive players were Alex Thompson, Aiden Thies, Benson DeVol, Declan Avila, and Fritz Heine. In the second half the stars scored a goal that started with Benson's ridiculous (that means "good" in soccer talk) pass through 2 defenders. Deegan Henry ran onto it, shooting the ball on frame. The ball came off the goalie where Andres Morales scored. Ben Twitty was amazing in goal with 21 saves and Timothy Walker came in late to goal and had 2 saves. Coach Walker was VERY pleased with the way these boys executed the game plan. "They played with intensity and determination. I'm proud of them," said Coach Walker. The stars play at Lebanon on Thursday, Aug 31.
