The Western Boone boys' basketball team had a Friday night conference game at North Montgomery and was able to pull off a 53-51 win in overtime. A very slow start put the Stars down 7 at halftime and at the end of the 3rd quarter. A 19 point 4th quarter allowed the boys to comeback and send the game to overtime where free throw shooting was able to push the Stars over the edge for the win. Webo was led by Tristyn Faulk with 13 points and Beau Sawyer with 11 points. Burke Cavins also added 9 points and led the energy for the comeback win in the 4th with 7 of his points coming in the 4th quarter and overtime. Saturday - vs. Tri-West The Webo boys' basketball team never could get anything going on either side of the ball against Tri-West on Saturday. An 18 point deficit in the first quarter was too hard to overcome, and Tri-West steadily grew the lead the remainder of the game. The stars fell 89-45 and were led by Quinn Westerfeld and Burke Cavins with 9 points each. Webo will look to get that taste out of their mouth on Thursday in a conference game at Crawfordsville on Thursday.
