Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone High School Cross Country team traveled to Hamilton Heights Thursday evening to compete in the 28th Annual Landes Invitational. In the boys race Isaac Threlkeld finish 21st followed by Carter Hanna (29th), Graham Cavins (37th), Alex Crockett (42nd), Brayden Schick (55th), Brawn Puckett (56th), Kole Nelson (72nd) and Lane Hardee in 74th with times of 19:30, 20:04, 20:33, 20:53, 22:30, 22:30, 26:44 and 28:10 respectively. The girls were led by Bailey Haag finishing 9th out of 65 runners, followed by Samantha Jones (12th), Charlotte Stucky (17th), Benny Parsons (26th), Kate Higer (30th), Janelle Gearheart (43rd), Carli Hanna (47th), Rosie Rogers (48th) and Katherine Mateika in 59th with times of 21:27, 22:13, 22:38, 23:49, 24:52, 26:39, 27:50, 27:52 and 31:48. The girls team finished 2nd overall with the boys finishing 7th. The Stars will compete this Saturday at the Hometown Savings Bank Cross Country Invitational in Terre Haute.
