The Junior High Cross Country team traveled to Frankfort Monday afternoon for their 4th race of the year. The weather was beautiful and the course was fast which helped every Webo runner to be at or better than their best times of the season so far. In the boys race, Aiden Lester finished first overall with a time of 11:39 followed by Ari Smith in 2nd at 12:13. Brentton Palmer finished 5th in 14:43, and Rex Stanley continued to drop time crossing the line in 6th place with a new personal best of 15:43, while Hayden Trenary got close to his PR finishing 10th with a 17:55. In the girls race, Joan Gearheart was the top dog finishing first in at 12:13, with Lyla Kinsler shaving over 40 seconds off her best time this season to finish 4th in 14:14. Claire and Jaili Torp both dropped about a minute off their best times this season finishing 5th and 9th in 15:00 and 16:47. Autumn Palmer and Bristol McCord stepped up to the challenge to finish 10th and 11th also shaving times to have one of their best races with times of 17:30 and 17:35. Another great effort from this young team that has been consistently improving. Their next meet will be this Saturday against some of the best competition central Indiana has to offer at the Miller Rock Invitational.
