Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone boys golf team competed in the Mountie Invite on Saturday at Crawfordsville Country Club, finishing 8th in the twelve-team field. As a team, the Stars recovered from a rough first couple of holes to play solid golf for most of the day but then struggled to close their rounds out. With only a couple of holes remaining for the group, it looked like the Stars had a chance to surpass their goal for their season low 18-hole round. Despite falling short late, the team score of 372 was still the best 18-hole score for the team since 2023. Luke LaGrange continued his hot streak, leading the way with an 85. Rex Stanley would follow with a solid 93. At 96, Asher Foy showed how far his game has come by reflecting a 15-stroke improvement over his score at the same match last season. Carson Richardson would complete the scoring with a 98. The Stars are back in action on Monday at Deer Track Golf Club, where they will face Clinton Prairie and Sheridan.
