Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The WeBo Lady Stars dropped their season opener vs. the Southmont Mounties (2-0). After surrendering a very early goal off of a deflection and ultimately going into the half down 3-0, the Stars gained their footing and played much better in the scoreless second half. WeBo used a deep rotation of players amidst the heat and tallied 11 shots but were unable to hit the back of the net. The Lady Stars were led by team captains KaLeigh Steimel, Aizlinn Baxter and Lili Jones, as well as returning seniors Emily Conyer and Carlie Pennington. The Stars will look to build on their strong second half next week in a busy week of action: hosting Cascade on 8/23/22 at 5:30pm, travelling to Tri-West on 8/25/22 at 5:30pm (for both varsity and junior varsity games) and hosting North Montgomery on Saturday, 8/27/22 at 9:00am.
