Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone volleyball team kept their hot start to the season on Saturday, when they hosted their invitational. The Stars started the day with a 25-14, 25-11 win over Hamilton Heights. Raegan Durbin had 15 kills in the match, with Kennedy Kiger having six and Audrey Dunn five. Dunn and Kendal Ramey each had 10 digs, while Janie Ransom had 28 assists. Dunn and Chloe Gillan each had three aces. They followed it up with a 25-19, 25-22 win over Mount Vernon. Dunn had seven kills, with Durbin adding six and Kiger five. Durbin had 14 digs, with Gillan having 10. Ransom had 21 assists. The Stars concluded the day with a 25-12, 25-22 win over Heritage Christian. Durbin had 13 kills, and Dunn had 8. Durbin added five aces and 10 digs. Ransom had 26 assists. Alayna Christner had two blocks in each of the last two matches. Western Boone has two tough tests early next week, hosting Brownsburg Monday and Zionsville Tuesday.
