Western Boone topped Tri-West 3-2 (16-25, 26-24, 25-20, 22-25, 15-9) to win the conference title. Western Boone scored the first three points of the set, getting a kill and a block from Alayna Christner. Back-to-back aces from Emma Miller put the Stars up 8-3. Tri-West got as close as 9-6, but Western Boone went on a 4-1 spurt to go up 12-7. Durbin had 24 kills, 10 digs, four blocks and four aces. Christner had seven kills and two blocks, with Emmerson Gott having four kills and three blocks. The Bruins got within 13-9, but WeBo won back-to-back points, winning the match on a block from Raegan Durbin. Western Boone won three-straight conference titles for the first time since they won four straight from 2011-2014. They have won 21-straight conference matches (they did lose to Tri-West in a non-conference match last year in a tournament). This one may have been one of the most satisfying, as the Stars had to replace several graduation losses and needed three five-set wins to win the title. Smith had 12 digs, Olivia Cox had three aces and Janie Ransom had 34 assists.
