Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Jr. High Girls Soccer Team opened their season against North Montgomery tonight. The Stars started the night slow giving up an early goal in the first half. Though down a goal, the girls continued to fight. At half time the girls bought into a new formation and rallied together to hold the majority of the possession during the second half. The ladies had several chances in the second half before Anna Walker put a ball across the front of the goal and Kyleigh Mathews was able to convert the pass into a goal, tying the game 1-1. The whole team showed great effort and grit and look forward to the upcoming game on Monday. The Boys JH Soccer team, playing with only 10, fell to North Montgomery 9-4 on Monday’s season opener at home. Our boys fought hard against a much improved North Montgomery squad. Eli Bishop and Aiden Lester had great defensive performances. Braylen and Benson DeVol had some great assists for Kayne Caldwell who put all four WEBO goals in past the Charger’s keeper.
