Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The JV football team had their chance to display their own abilities on Monday night as they welcomed in the Blackhawks of Sheridan. The Stars set the tone on the ground with gritty performances by Carter Marcum and Jacob Smith. Their efforts were made possible by several O-Line contributions including, but not limited to, Chris Hall, Korden Bush, Gabe Conyer, Wes England and Josh Dickey. The ground game opened up the passing game with QB Brandon Potter connecting on several TD's to Marcus Fortner, Carson Saunders and Dylan Sheets. Defensively, the Stars relied on tremendous efforts by Cole Wiley, Evan Allan and Layton Yancey to hold the opposition to only one touchdown. Dylan Sheets did not disappoint on special teams where he had several nice punt returns while Jacob Smith stepped up and took care of kicking duties for the night. Everyone saw action and the JV Stars will be back in action on Saturday where they will travel to Western for their second game of the season.
