Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Cross Country team traveled to Brownsburg Saturday morning to compete in the Regional competition. The athletes had perfect running conditions on a great course against some of the toughest competitors in the state. In the boys race Isaac Threlkeld ran an outstanding race finishing with a time of 18:59. Alex Crockett showed grit, finishing with a time of 19:13. Samantha Jones led the lady Stars in the girls race and finished with all heart in 21:26, followed by Bailey Haag who pushed through the crowd to finish in 21:31. Charlotte Stucky finished with determination in 23:09.4, edging out her teammate, Kate Higer, with a time of 23:09.7. Despite recent illness Benny Parsons was able to compete and finish with determination with a time of 25:17. The Stars had a successful season and finished strong. Their constant focus, will to work hard and push through difficult challenges, and strong team bond led to outstanding accomplishments from each individual.
