8th Grade Basketball The Western Boone Stars 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team hosted the Lebanon Tigers. The Stars had a rough night on the court. The Tiger came out with pressure on the ball and pressed the Stars into turnovers. The Stars at times found some gaps and scored but just could not recover. Beau Sawyer led Stars with 11 points but the Stars fell 56-23. The Stars B Team also were in action and found themselves struggling to find their rhythm. The Tigers forced turnovers and kept the Stars off balance. The Stars fell 43-10. Tuesday the Stars travel to Crawfordsville to face the Athenians. 7th Grade Basketball The offense struggled to get rolling at Lebanon on Monday night and lost 24-56. The team played better in the second half and matched the Tiger's game speed and effort. Boddicker led the way with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals. Owen Young chipped in 6 points and Lane Rose 5 points respectively. The B team played a closer game and fell 22-12. 6th Grade Basketball The Western Boone 6th Grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Attica to open their season on Monday night. After a slow first half for the A team, the Stars got things going in the second half, pulling away to win the game 29-7. The Stars were led by Jackson Potter with 12, Ryder Devol with 6 and Lukas Harrison with 4. The Stars will be on the road again Thursday night as they travel to North Montgomery. The B team played a two quarter game and won a close one with a final score of 12-10. Gavin Larew led the Stars with 8 points.
