Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone 7th Grade Volleyball team had a great night against Sheridan, coming away with a 2-set sweep! The girls won the first set 25–14 and finished strong in the second set with a 25–16 victory. Amelia Stambro had 5 serves and multiple aces throughout the match, helping the team gain momentum. Saylor Princell also contributed with 4 serves. Reagan Byers had 4 hits, including 3 kills, making a strong impact at the net. Addi Gregg stayed on her toes the entire match and was able to pass every ball that came her way, helping set up the offense and keep the team moving. I’m so proud of all the girls and the effort they continue to put in every time they step on the court. Their teamwork, determination, and growth have been so fun to watch this season. Great job, girls! Let’s keep working hard and building on this win! In the 8th Grade action the Stars also won in a quick 2-set match, coming out on top 25-6 and 25-10! The Stars started strong and never let up, dominating both sets from start to finish! It was such a fun game to watch as the girls got to try new things, including topspin serving, back-row attacks, and even playing positions they don’t normally see themselves in! Emery Clements started the night serving for the Stars and did NOT disappoint! She finished with 5 serves, 4 of which were aces! Aside from her serving, Emery played both pin-hitting positions and did an incredible job, finishing with 6 hits, 3 of which were kills! Bristol Demaree also made her debut back at setter for a few points and showed just how flexible she can be wherever she is needed on the court! Bristol even had a back-row attack alongside Riley Cervi & Corah Edwards, which sent the crowd WILD! The girls were absolutely pumped to get the opportunity to attack from the back row and play some offense! Our serving was a HUGE part of our success last night. The Stars had 48 total serves, with an incredible 24 of them being aces! We are SO proud of the way these girls showed up, competed, and embraced every opportunity to try something new! We can’t wait to see how the Stars finish out the regular season against Frankfort on Wednesday! This will be our final regular-season game before the Stars head to the conference tournament! Keep it up, Stars! We’re not done yet! ⭐️
