Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Clinton Central came to town Thursday night, but the Stars came to WIN! The Western Boone 6th Grade Volleyball team continued its impressive season with a commanding two-set victory over Clinton Central, winning 25-5 and 25-13 and improving to 8-1 on the season! The night was all about the service line, and Georgia Massingill set the tone immediately. Georgia served the first 11 points of the match, including five aces, to help the Stars jump out to a huge lead in the opening set. Alaina Quilter added two aces of her own, while Everlee Hubbell contributed three more as Western Boone rolled to a 25-5 first-set victory. The Stars kept their foot on the gas in set two, earning another big win, 25-13. Georgia once again led the charge from the service line, finishing the set with six aces and continuing an outstanding night of serving for Western Boone. The team was also able to play an additional B-team set, and Ruby Cain and Paisley Jones made the most of their opportunity! Both put together runs of seven straight serves, with each recording five aces during their impressive stretches from the line. It was another great team win and a huge confidence boost as the Stars continue to build momentum late in the season. Western Boone now turns its attention to Saturday’s Clinton Prairie Tournament with an 8-1 record and plenty of confidence. The season may be wrapping up, but these Stars are still FIRED UP!
