The Stars travelled to Speedway to play the Sparkplugs and came away with a great TEAM 54-40 win. This was going to be a physical game with these two teams. The Stars came out and set the tone by controlling the paint, rebounding, and keeping the pressure on. The Stars were led by Beau Sawyer 16, Sam Rausch 12, Carson Nicely and Levi Adkins each had 11 and Dane Allen 4. Carter Eckert pressured their point and forced turnovers that led to transition baskets. The Stars travel to Rossville next Monday to face the Hornets. The 7th grade basketball team had a tough game on the road and lost to Speedway 41 WEBO 20. The Stars had a tough night shooting and Speedway had a few nice players that made it tough to run the offense. The team did well against the press and were strong on the boards. Teams leaders: Timothy Boddicker 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist Owen Young 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals The Western Boone 6th Grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Crawfordsville on Thursday night to face off with the Athenians. The A team played an up tempo game all night that resulted in a lot of transition baskets. The Stars won the game 29-19. The Stars were led by Jackson Potter with 11, Tate Wood with 8, Lukas Harrison with 6 and Ryder Devol with 4. The Stars next game won’t be until after Thanksgiving break when they will travel to Lebanon. The B team lost a close one, leading for most of the game but then coming up short in the 4th quarter by a score of 14-19. The Stars were led by Jackson Linton with 5, Grayson Ford with 4, Andrew Castillo with 3 and Gavin Larew with 2.
