Stars sweep Hornets in JH boys basketball

The Stars travelled to Rossville to face the Hornets. The turned out to be a very physical and hard fought game. The Stars held the Hornets to 17 points in The first half by forcing turnovers and solid defense to limit shots. Stars went to the half up 23-17. The second was a very physical half and and the Hornets got the led but the Stars went on a 8 point run and sealed the win 41-35. The Stars were led by Beau Sawyer 17 points, Levi Adkins 10, Carter Eckert 6, Carson Nicely and Dane Allen each had 4. The Stars B Team also played the Hornets. This also was a physical game, but the Stars controlled game from start to finish. The Stars were led by Micah Farris with 11, Noah Cole 6, Josiah Williamson 4, Maysn Hoskins 3 and Destin Mercado Carabello 2. 7th Grade Basketball - The Stars defensive efforts led to a 55-35 victory over Rossville. In total, the team had 47 total rebounds and 12 steals. Team Leaders include: Timothy Boddicker 18 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, Owen Young 14 point, 4 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and Gage Wilson 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists The B team played a close game, but ran out of steam towards the end. The Stars fell to the Hornets 23-21. Team Leader Carson Richardson 9 points, 4 assists, 1 rebound, 3 steals Clinton Central travels to Western Boone on Tuesday to play both the 7th and 8th grade Stars heading into Thanksgiving break.
