The JV Girls Basketball team traveled to Sheridan for a short two quarter game Tuesday night. After not playing a game in almost two weeks, the young Stars were ready for a chance to compete. Despite multiple attempts at the basket, Webo finished the first quarter with only two points but their defense held the Blackhawks to four. In the last quarter, the Stars connected for 8 points to end the game with a win of 10 to 9. The Ladies played with all heart to bring their record to 2 and 2 for the season. The Varsity Stars traveled to Sheridan on Tuesday to take on the Blackhawks. The Stars came out with tenacity and aggressiveness, executing on both ends of the court and playing together as a team. As the first half progressed, the Blackhawks picked up their intensity, forcing the Stars to commit unwanted turnovers and preventing offensive movement. The Lady Stars went into halftime hoping to regroup and change the course of the game in the second half. As the second half progressed, the Stars couldn’t execute offensively or come back from the large deficit, contributing to the loss. The Lady Stars were led in scoring by Ki’erra Koch with 10 points, followed by Ally Lewis with 9 points. The Stars are back in action on November 28 as they travel to Cascade to face the Cadets. Go Stars!
