The Stars hosted the Danville Warriors. The first 3 quarters were a chess match between the Stars and Warriors and the Stars were able to hold the lead. The Warriors attacked with a full court press and forced the Stars into costly turnovers into a 20 point quarter. The Stars fell 31-49. Beau Sawyer led Stars with 16, Sam Rausch 6, Carson Nicely 5, Levi Adkins 4. The Stars B Team played a very tough Warriors team and led from start to finish. The Warriors got it close to within 2 points but the Stars held on and got the win 27-25. Josiah Williamson led Stars with 10, Brayden Henson 8, Micah Farris 4, Destin Carabello Mercado 3 and Noah Cole 2. The 8th grade Stars travel to North Montgomery Tuesday to face the Chargers. 7th Grade Basketball Despite only being down 3 at half, the JH 7th Stars were unable to maintain the energy level and execution to stay with Danville in the second half resulting in a 50 - 17 loss. Gage Wilson led the way with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Carson Richardson led the B team with 9 points and 3 rebounds. Both teams hope to learn from the games and work towards playing 4 quarters tonight as they travel with the 8th grade to North Montgomery.
