WeBo sweeps McCutcheon in Swimming

The Webo swimming and diving teams took a double win against McCutcheon on Monday night. The girls defeated the Mavericks with a score of 106-74, and the boys came out on top with a score of 100-83. The 200 medley relay team of Arianna Stieber, Micah Hole, Hannah Hayden, and Jenna Twitty kicked off the evening with a win for the Stars. Adelaide Jones and Kaitlyn Crowley followed by placing first and second respectively in the 200 freestyle. Stieber picked up another win for the Stars in IM, followed in third by Annabelle Mickschl. Samantha Jones and Hayden earned another 1-2 finish in the 50 freestyle respectively; Adalyn Sartin placed sixth. Cara Hanna finished second in diving. Hayden earned another win in the 100 fly; Twitty was close behind in second and Mickschl was in fifth. S. Jones picked up a second individual win for the evening in the 100 freestyle; Hole and Rustin placed fourth and fifth. A. Jones kept the winning streak going in the 500, with Crowley in third place. Webo relays finished first and second in the 200 free relay. The winning team consisted of S. Jones, Hayden, Stieber, and A. Jones; the team of Mickschl, Rustin, Hole, and Crowley finished second. Twitty earned a win in the 100 backstroke; Sartin finished in fifth place. Stieber and Hole placed first and third respectively in the 100 breaststroke. The 400 free relay team of S. Jones, Twitty, Crowley, and A. Jones rounded out the meet with one final win. The Stars won all swimming events for the evening for the girls. The boys’ medley relay team of Jacob Norman, Jude Balke, Isaac Threlkeld, and Chase Collier also led the meet with a win. Wyatt Barnett kept the momentum going with a win in the 200 freestyle, followed by Henry Biggs and Sam Hillger in fourth and fifth. Norman and Catterson finished first and third in the 200 IM respectively. In the 50 freestyle, Threlked finished second, Collier placed fourth, and Isaac Garringer finished fifth. Xander Rouse earned second place in diving. Threlkeld and Catterson finished in first and second place respectively in the 100 butterfly. Artie Milliser, Hiller, and Garringer placed fourth, fifth, and sixth in the 100 freestyle. In the 500 freestyle, Collier earned an individual win, followed by W. Barnett in second and Biggs in fourth. The 200 freestyle relay team of Ethan Barnett, Balke, Collier, and W. Barnett picked up another win for the Stars. Norman earned a second individual win for the night in the 100 backstroke, followed by E. Barnett in third. Balke won the 100 breaststroke; Alex Crockett was not far behind in second place. Rounding out the evening was the winning 400 free relay team of Threlkeld, E. Barnett, W. Barnett, and Norman.
