Western Boone started off the game extremely well, jumping out to a 14-4 lead after a quarter, but Lebanon dominated the second quarter. The Tigers out-scored the Stars 27-10, "It's been our second quarters this year that have hurt us," Western Boone head coach Dustin Oakley said. "I'm not sure if in my coaching career if I have given up 27 points in a quarter. We just didn't make adjustments quick enough. Gavin Hawkins and Quinn Westerfeld each had 13 for WeBo, with Tristyn Faulk scoring 10 and Carter Hanna nine. "I continue to tell our guys, we have to play a perfect 32 minutes right now, and that is difficult and frustrating," Oakley said. "Our kids are making progress and we are getting better. It's just tough when you are progressing, but that at the end of the game you are on the wrong side of the scoreboard. We have to keep piecing things together. They play a tough zone, and we did hit eight 3s tonight, so hopefully that carries over. But we need to get back to how we were guarding the first few games."
