Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Jr. High girls' soccer team faced North Putnam last night and came away with a 3-0 win. Goal scorers for the Stars were Kenzlei Mathews with 2 goals and Cheyenne Gibson with 1. The whole team contributed with strong performances from players who came off the bench. The ladies continue to improve every fame and are looking forward to their next game against Southmont on Monday. Last night the JH Boys Soccer team took on North Putnam at home. The holiday weekend didn’t do our boys any favors as they started off slow and never could find their footing. North was aggressive all evening and our defense couldn’t stand up to the constant pressure. Eli Bishop put forth the best team and defensive effort. Offensively we just couldn’t find a rhythm. We had two shots on goal all evening and neither went through the net. Final score: 8-0.
