Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Jr. High girls' soccer team faced North Putnam last night and came away with a 3-0 win. Goal scorers for the Stars were Kenzlei Mathews with 2 goals and Cheyenne Gibson with 1. The whole team contributed with strong performances from players who came off the bench. The ladies continue to improve every fame and are looking forward to their next game against Southmont on Monday. The JH Boys Soccer Team traveled to Southmont to take on the Mounties. Southmont went on the attack early and put two in quick. WEBO defense calmed down and slowed the scoring but couldn’t stop it. Halftime found WEBO down 3-0. The second half was a mirror of the first with the offense not being able to counter attack and Southmont bringing high pressure. The Mounties put three more past the keeper for a 6-0 final score. Eli Bishop was once again the anchor for the defense. His individual play was outstanding. Nathan Rogers made his debut in goal and made some great stops as well.
