The Western Band boys tennis team hosted the Rossville Hornets Tuesday evening at WeBo courts. The Stars looked to start a winning streak tonight that they haven't had since early in the season. The Stars kicked off the night with a 6-0, 6-0 victory 2D with Garrett Prickett and Daniel Talbott getting the win. The Hornets picked up the next two wins on the evening with straight set wins at 1S and 3S. The comeback of the night came from the 1D Tyler Konz and Andrew Petro. The duo fell behind after the first set to the Hornets then bounced back to win back to back 6-2, 6-2 sets. The match of the night came from 2S where Brady Warmoth started the match with a 6-1 win in the first set. Brady then lost a big lead in the second set and the match went to a third set. Brady fell behind 1-3 in the third set before rallying to a 6-4 victory. The win gave the Stars a team victory on the evening! The JV Stars earned their fourth victory in a row with a three to win. Winning for the Stars were Blake Maurath, Eli Mitchell, and Ethan Barnett. The Stars have the rest of the week off before hosting the North Montgomery Chargers for Senior night on Monday.
