The Lady Stars had a good showing with four runners finishing in the top ten. Katheryn Rutherford and Hannah Haag led the way for the team, running together for the entire race and finishing about a second apart. Rutherford was 2nd in 21:31.8, and Haag was 3rd in 21:33.1. Emily Parsons ran an excellent race to finish 8th in 23:19.7, and Samantha Jones also ran well and finished a few seconds later in 9th in 23:26.8. Bailey Haag rounded out the scoring team in 12th in 24:08.6. Charlotte Stucky finished 15th in 24:49.6, followed by Janelle Gearheart in 18th in 25:41.1. Kate Higer was 25th in 27:14.7, followed a few seconds later by Bailey Keyes in 27th in a personal best time of 27:32.5. Rosie Rogers finished 30th in 29:04.2, and Carli Hanna was 31st in 29:41.6. Katherine Mateika was 40th in 35:58.3. In a very close team competition, Lebanon won with 29 points, followed by Western Boone in second with 31. Clinton Central was third with 81, and University was fourth with 91. In the boys race, Isaac Threlkeld led the way for the Stars with an 11th-place finish in 19:28.3. Carter Hanna ran an excellent race to finish 15th in 19:58.2. Graham Cavins achieved a personal best of 20:14.3 and finished 17th. Lane Hardee finished a few seconds later in 18th in 20:19.9. Luke LaGrange was 27th in 20:48.8. Brayden Schick and Alex Crockett sprinted to the finish together, with Schick pulling ahead by just one second at the finish line--Shick in 40th in a personal best of 22:33.5 and Crockett in 41st in 22:34.5. Brawn Puckett was 49th in 23:59.0. Jude Balke achieved a personal best by just 0.1 seconds to finish in 25:32.9 in 52nd. Lebanon won the team competition with 29 points, followed by Clinton Central in second with 55, Lapel in third with 75, Western Boone in fourth with 85, and University in fifth with 111. The Stars will compete at the Athletic Annex Flashrock Invitational in Carmel on Saturday.
