The offense had their troubles in the first half with a turnover on downs and a interception returned for a touchdown, but they clawed there way back with a strong ground attack. Jacob Smith turned in a strong performance racking up three rushing touchdowns to go along with a 2-point conversion behind the strong blocking of Gabe Conyer, Luke Cummins, Evan Allen, Gavin Prickett and Josh Dickey. Brennon Kopriva also scored a 2-point conversion on a broken play and Carson Saunders had a total of 5 receptions including a 45 yard touchdown to put the lead out of reach late in the fourth quarter. For the defense, they came out strong on their first series with a blocked punt to get the offense started on the Chargers’ 5 yard line. The defense played together as a whole unit with key efforts in the secondary from Kylde McKheigan , Julian McClaine and Evan Terwiske. For the interior group, Carter Marcum, Marco Velazquez and Cole Wiley lead the stand against North Montgomery’s run game. The Stars were able to get another punt block later in the game with tremendous efforts all around.
