The Jr. High Lady Softball Stars pick up two wins against Sheridan on Monday night! In the first game of the night, the Lady Stars picked up a 15-1 win over the Blackhawks having back to back to back 5 run innings offensively. The team was patient at the plate, getting runners on base, and then coming up with the big hits when needed. The Stars were led by Mady Monks and Harper Nance with 2 hits and an RBI each. Ashlynn Foster and Caydence Paris also had hits and RBI’s of their own. Raina Lutz picked up the win for the Stars in the circle going 2-innings, striking out 4, giving up just two hits. This win puts the group at 6 wins and 2 losses on the season In the second game, the Stars battled to a 12-8 victory. Kensley Blankenship picked up her second win in a row for the group with a complete game in the circle. Offensively the group was patient at the plate picking up several walks throughout the game that helped push runs across the plate. Jerzie Nelson and Alyx McCormick both had a hit and 3 RBI’s combined. This win evens the teams record to 4 and 4 on the year. Both softball teams will be back in action Tuesday, 5/7, hosting Clinton Prairie at home with a start time of 5:30pm.
