Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Stars Track & Field teams traveled to Tri-West to compete in the Sagamore Conference Championships. It was a great night all-around for the Stars, and many personal bests were hit on the evening. The boys placed 7th overall and highlights include – 3rd place finish in the Shot Put for Wyatt Dickey with a throw of 46’2.5”, and 5th in the 4x100m Relay for Philip Talbott, Mason Adams, Klyde McKeighan, and Marcus Fortner with a time of 45.40 seconds. The girls placed 3rd overall and highlights include – 2nd place finishes by 4x100m Relay (51.31 seconds - Becca Keyes, Ki’erra Koch, Lillie Cripe, Lily Shirley), 300m Hurdles (49.84 - Raegan Durbin), and 4x400m Relay (Lily Shirley, Samantha Jones, Kate Higer, Raegan Durbin). THE GIRLS 4X400M RELAY TEAM BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD WITH A TIME OF 4:13.46, BEATING THE PREVIOUS RECORD SET BACK IN 2009 OF 4:15.21 (Diedre Bowden, Katie Brewer, Kandise Kyle, Brandy Woody)!
