The Western Boone Girl's Varsity soccer team moved to 6-4 overall, soundly defeating North Putnam Tuesday by a score of 8-0 and building on their perfect 6-0 home record this season. The Stars were able to balance playing time to the entire team amidst the warm temperature and got solid play from all...which allowed them to maintain possession, connect passes and work well throughout the pitch. Defensively, the Stars notched their 3rd shutout and were anchored by senior goalkeeper Lili Jones, 1st year player Ki'erra Koch, sophomores Becca Keyes and Micah Hole, and freshman Lindsey Steimel. Scoring for WeBo included a hat trick from KaLeigh Steimel (3 goals, 1 assist), 2 goals from Kale Conner, as well as goals by Rebecca Rustin , Cadey Ross and Hannah Hayden. The team resumes action at University High School in Carmel on Thursday (9/22/22), followed by the final regular season week facing two key conference matches and potential sectional opponents, Frankfort (9/26/22) which is senior night, and at Crawfordsville (9/28/22).
