Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Lady Stars traveled to New Market Wednesday evening to close out their conference and regular season schedule. The Stars offense took a couple innings to get going but they were able to adjust and scored 10 runs in the third inning and would continue hot recording an 18-1, 5 inning victory. The win marked the stars 18th on the season and their 13th conference win, earning them a share of the Sagamore conference title for the first time since 2007. Ally Lewis got the start for the Stars and pitched 5 innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits while walking 1 and striking out 9. The Stars racked up 16 hits on the evening with Morganne Grant, Mikayla Naanos, Kenzlei Mathews, Kirstin McCormick, Ally Lewis, and Dottie Wilson all collecting multiple hits. The Stars will be back in action Tuesday night as Sectional play begins.
