The Lady Stars came out on September 26 to take on the Frankfort Hot Dogs and to celebrate our seniors with senior night. Finding a conference win was exactly what they wanted to do and was a great way to honor our seniors. Although the girls had a hard time finding a steady form and speed of play on the turf field, the Stars still managed to possess much of the game and compete on the field. #11 Kale Conner (sophomore) had three assists in the game to #12 KaLeigh Steimel (senior), #16 Cadey Ross (junior), and #6 Addie Jones (junior). The Hot Dogs had only one goal in the game from a defensive posture mistake. But the team gathered themselves, learned from it, and moved forward with stature and confidence! This win boosted the Stars conference record to 3-3 and season record to 7-4-1. This is the first time in 6 years that the Western Boone girls team has had a winning season record. They take on another conference opponent, Crawfordsville, on Wednesday before entering sectionals to play Danville.
