The Stars traveled to Southmont on Saturday for a JV football game and came home with a hard fought 34-14 win over the Mounties. Mason Amich gained a lot of hard earned yards and a TD behind the strong blocking from the likes of Luke Cummins, Josh Dickey and Korden Bush. Brandon Potter benefit from the offensive lines performance as well throwing touchdowns to Layton Yancey and another to Carter Landers on a 4 and 12 play. Yancey also scored a rushing touchdown. Jackson Long topped of the scoring with an interception returned for a touchdown late in the 4th quarter. The defense produced a strong outing lead by Carter Marcum and Mason Amich. Only allowing 14 points, the team shut down the run heavy offense of the Mounties. The JV defense was a mirror image of the intensity on put on display Friday night. All players were able to get time on defense and step to their specific role.
