The Webo Cross Country teams traveled to Hamilton Heights Thursday afternoon for the Landes XC Invitational for their second race this week. With tired legs and high temperatures, both teams showed up to compete. In the girls race it was Charlotte Stucky finishing in 8th place with a time of 23:09, followed by Joan Gearheart in 11th with a 24:09. Kate Higer also medaled in 13th place with a 24:53, with Janelle Gearheart finishing in 25th (27:45) and Rosie Rogers rounding out the top 5 Webo runners in 29th with a 29:01. Claire Torp finished 32nd (30:09), Jailie Torp in 35th (31:05), Harmony Gilbrech 42nd (31:53), Jenna Twitty 45th (32:33), Adalyn Sartan 49th (33:33) and Autumn Palmer in 60th with a 41:00. The Girls finished 3rd out of 12 teams. In the boys race it was Aiden Lester leading the Stars finishing 13th with a new personal best of 18:46, followed by Alex Crockett in 27th place with a 20:36 and Brayden Schick in 48th place with a season best of 22:13. Eli Bishop finished in 50th place in 22:43 with a personal best, Brawn Puckett 66th (24:30), Kole Nelson 72nd (25:41) and Brentton Palmer 84th with a 29:40. The Boy's team finished 7th overall. Both teams will travel to Terre Haute Saturday to compete against some of Indiana's best at the State Preview Race.
