Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone high school cross country team concluded its season on Saturday at the IHSAA Regional meet at White River Elementary in Noblesville. Senior Katheryn Rutherford finished her high school cross country career with a 38th-place finish in a very good time of 19:46.3. She started quickly and moved up throughout the race but just missed qualifying for the IHSAA Semi-State meet by 13 seconds. Rutherford finishes her career as #2 on the school's all-time list. Samantha Jones ran an excellent race again and was 65th in 20:56.6, only 6 seconds from her personal best. Senior Hannah Haag was next for Western Boone and concluded her high school cross country career in 73rd in 21:26.8. Haag finishes her career as #5 on the school's all-time list. Charlotte Stucky also ran well and finished 79th in 21:49.5. Bailey Haag rounded out the contingent of Lady Stars in 82nd in 22:20.8.
