Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The 8th grade Stars opened the season at home with Crawfordsville. The game went back and forth from start to finish in OT with WeBo outlasting Crawfordsville 41-35. The Stars had to dig deep and play a physical team. Burke Cavins sent the game to OT with a clutch free throw. The team hit some big shots, forced a couple turnovers and out scored the Athenians 9-2 in the OT to get a team win. Quin Westerfeld led Stars with 18, Burk Cavins had 9 and Evan Kiplinger had 6 with some big rebounds. The team will face the Tri-West Bruins on Thursday at home. The Stars 8th Grade B Team also played Crawfordsville. The squad fell behind early, but fought back and closed the gap. The team just ran out of gas and fell 30-18. Brennan Bivens had 6 and Alex Valazquez had 4.
