Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The boys 7th grade basketball team hosted Triwest for their home opener. The stars lost a hard fought battle 24-20. It was an intense, action packed game, but the stars had too many turnovers to overcome despite an all out effort. Levi Adkins and Carson Nicley lead in scoring while Carter Eckert added several steals. The 8th grade Stars followed the 7th grade contest and had to battle a Bruin team that was quick and tall. The size was the factor in this game. Despite the height advantage the Stars never quit and played from start to finish. The 8th grade squad fell to the Bruins 41-26. Quin Westerfeld had 9, Cavin Burke, Owen Oakley had 6 and Reese Young had 5. The Frankfort Hotdogs are visiting the Stars next Tuesday night.
