The Junior High Cross Country teams hosted Lebanon and Clinton Central for their final home meet of the season Wednesday evening. In the girls race, Abigayle Humphreys finished in first place with a time of 14:01 with Britney Richwine finishing third in 15:52, followed by Bristol McCord in fourth place at 16:32. The cooler weather helped the Lady Stars to their fastest times on their home course ever, each of them dropping almost a minute or more. In the boys race Ari Smith was once again challenging the front runner for a home victory and despite also getting a course best, he ultimately finished second with a 11:53. Owen Young raced in for a close third place at 12:28 and Nate Muir finished 5th with a new personal best of 13:29. Rex Stanley also finished with a lifetime best in 6th with a 13:49 and Hayden Trenary continues to drop time every race with another PR of 13:58 in 9th place, while Jacob Nance in 12th in at 16:55 with his home course best. This was an amazing effort from everyone and concluded their regular season. Next Thursday they will have their Conference Championship at Danville. Go Stars!
